Do you feel inferior to others? Are you prettier than the next girl in school halls or selfies?
Reading this title you might be insecure about yourself and are wondering what to do about it. First of all, what is the definition of insecurity?
noun, plural insecurities.
1. lack of confidence or assurance; self-doubt:
He is plagued by insecurity
2. the quality or state of being insecure;
instability: the insecurity of her financial position.
3. something insecure :
the many insecurities of life.
Insecurity is something everyone has (including guys) (duh.) We've all experienced it and the feelings that come along. I know exactly how it feels to look the in mirror and feel ugly, have the desire to minimize my thighs, or to have more hips. However at the end of the day, God made everyone beautiful and unique. So with that in mind, if anyone were to tell me otherwise, who should I chose to listen to? The powerful God who created every living thing on this earth and has the ability to perform miracles, or a magazine article, a jealous friend, or my own self doubts? Maybe it's a spiritual gift but I've learned to understand what true beauty really is. Not makeup, face tuned Instagram photos, or perfect skin. Beauty to me is a girl with grace, self love and purity. The way you treat others is a direct reflection on the way you feel about yourself. Where you put your identity reflects the way about yourself. Sometimes people tend to identify themselves as what they do or what they own rather than who they are. And because they don't know who they are, they chose to identity themselves as what they own or do. It's a ongoing unconfident self esteem circle. For example, you're not a soccer player, that is what you do. No you're not a popular girl, that is a status. These examples could stretch miles!
1 Peter 1:18-19
"Confidence isn't believing you're beautiful when others do to. Confidence is believing you're beautiful even if others don't."

Click the link above to check out an Instagram post that really hit me. No it's not to promote this post or my account it's just a small paragraph in which my heart was poured out regarding this subject. I didn't personally post it on this blog because the picture shows women in undergarments. I felt it wasn't at all conservative enough to post on here but I wanted to give some the option to check it out.
